Do you want to generate your own power?
Want to know how? We can help!
Due to the ever increasing awareness and desire for energy efficient and alternative energy sources, D-Tech Electrical has now entered the renewable energy sector to offer customers a solar PV (photovoltaic) design and installation service throughout the area.

We have teamed up with Solar Partners NZ; we can utilize their substantial knowledge base, buying power, local product warranties, reliable product delivery and expert resources to enable us to be very competitive. The installation of a solar power system to off-set your home or buildings energy use is a cost effective exercise.
We can provide you with a unique design and installation for your property, offering you the greatest yield and highest return on investment. We will optimize each panel and give you live feedback on your power generation performance, right from day one. You will always know how your system is performing.
Product – The PV panels we install have been so thoroughly tested and proven under harsh conditions that they come with a 25-year warranty. We use Micro Inverter technology to optimize each panels output, so you get maximum power generation from your system.
Solution – We can provide you an accurate ROI and Yield forecast for your property. With Live data available for us to draw down the performance of existing systems in your area, we know what you will expect to generate. No guess work and no over-assumptions; you will get a clear understanding of what will work best for your situation.

FAQs
How solar works
Convert sunlight into DC electricity – Each day sunlight hits your roof with photons (particles of sunlight). Solar panels mounted on your roof can convert those photons into electrons of direct current (“DC”) electricity that flows to an inverter.
Inverter creates AC electricity – Inverters convert the direct current (DC) power into alternating (AC) power that your home can use.
Spin your meter backwards – Use your free electricity! You’ll still have utility power when you need it, however any excess electricity will be delivered to the grid for a credit.
Products we install
Enphase microinverters – Enphase invertors give high performance with significant energy harvest gains and higher system availability with no single point of failure. They have proven to be very reliable and can boast industry-leading manufacturing and quality standards.

Enphase Envoy Communications Gateway – The Enphase Envoy Communications Gateway is the networking hub for the Enphase Microinverter System. System owners can easily track their solar production and electricity consumption anytime, anywhere through an innovative monitoring app and website.

PV Solar Panels – Canadian Solar CS6P-255P Quartech Modules with MC4 Connectors – A New Generation Module with a 25 year warranty. Canadian Solar’s Quartech modules raise the module efficiency to new heights in the solar industry. With the latest 4 busbar cell technology, Quartech modules demonstrated significant superiority over the current 3 busbar cell modules in the solar market in terms of power output and solar system reliability. Worldwide customers have embraced this next generation of modules for their excellent performance, superior reliability and enhanced value.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I make the most of the power during the day?
To make the most of all that free electricity, it’s best to use appliances like dishwashers and washing machines during the day. If you are not home then a simple timer can be added to appliances to allow you to stagger the ‘on’ time throughout the day.
Will the solar panels work on cloudy days?
Solar panels generate the most electricity on clear days with abundant sunshine (not surprisingly). On a cloudy day, typical solar panels can produce 10-25% of their rated capacity. However this doesn’t matter – what matters is how much sun you get year-round. Cloudy days will come and go, but on average it’s not going to effect the return on investment of solar panels at all.
How long will it take to install a solar power system in my home?
Planning, configuring, and doing any custom ordering for your solar energy system can take up to a few weeks. However, the installation process itself can typically be completed in only a few days time, in many cases even less.
Are the panels on my roof damaged by strong wind or hail?
All modules are required to pass wind and hail tests before they are able to be sold commercially. The modules we supply have all been tested at levels that exceed the conditions found in the UK. If designed and installed correctly a PV system should cause no damage to your roof whatsoever.
Will I still have electricity if there is a power cut?
No. As a safety feature of the inverter it will not function if it can’t detect voltage on the grid. If it didn’t have this feature then it would be able to export electricity onto the national grid whilst the power was down and people were working on the line, potentially being very dangerous.
